Upcoming SAC Speaker

The Student Alumni Council (SAC) welcomes you to an Alumni Speaker Event with Brian Falther ’11, at 12:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 19, in the Cowger Board Room on the second floor of the Campus Center.
Falther is the founder and engineer at HopTera Aviation Industries. In 2015, he co-founded Bowery Farming, an indoor agriculture startup now valued at $2.3 billion. While at Bowery, Falther used sensors, robotics and LED lighting to automate and optimize natural processes, requiring less land, less water and no pesticides to grow leafy vegetables. He left Bowery Farming in 2020 and launched HopTera Aviation Industries, HopMondo Space Industries and blu5tep Records.
He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering in 2011 and studied music production at Berklee College of Music. Falther recently received the 2021 Entrepreneurial Achievement Alumni Award.
A boxed lunch will be provided upon the completion of this event. RSVP is required. Seating is limited to the first 25 students.
