  • Tuesday: 7:30 p.m. Yoga for EveryBODY in the Group Exercise Room
  • Thursday: 6 p.m. Yoga for EveryBODY in the Group Exercise Room
  • Friday: 12:30 p.m. Yoga for EveryBODY in the Group Exercise Room
  • Sunday: Noon Women’s Only Strength Training in free weight area

Class size is limited to 25 people. Mask-wearing and social distancing will be enforced.

Anyone interested in participating can email Mark Rumancik at mrumancik@kettering.edu, or walk in the day of class.

Powerlifting Showcase this Saturday

The University Rec Center is having a Powerlifting Showcase at 10:30 a.m., this Saturday, April 17 on Court 4.

Participants will get a chance to test their one-rep squat, bench press and/or deadlift. Please arrive no later than 10:15 a.m. so you have time to warm up and weigh in.

To participate, you must submit an entry form/waiver to Mike Rumancik at mrumancik@kettering.edu, or turn it into the front desk at the Rec Center.

Masks and social distancing will be heavily enforced at this event.

The Al Sobey Lecture on Leadership and Ethics will be at 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 5.

Keith Grint, Emeritus Professor of Public Leadership at Warwick University in Coventry, England will be the featured speaker at the virtual event.

Grint last worked at Warwick University in 2018. Prior to joining academia, he spent 10 years working in various positions across several industry sectors. His previous academic positions include Chair at Cranfield University and Lancaster University, the Lancaster Leadership Centre Director, and Director of Research at Oxford University’s Saïd Business School.

He has published several books on leadership with his latest, “Mutiny & Leadership,” expected to be released this year.
