LEADERS Fellowship Accepting Applications

The Kettering LEADERS Fellowship Program is accepting applications for Summer 2021.

An information session on the program will be at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 18 in AB 2225.

Three LEADERS alumni, Beenish Ali (’19), David Pokriefka (’19) and Eddie Schodowski (’17), will provide an overview of the program, talk about professional development and help with networking and applicant coaching for student goals. Dinner also will be provided.

Students who want to accelerate their personal, professional and leadership growth are encouraged to apply. Admitted fellows are paired with alumni mentors and numerous leadership development opportunities.

The LEADERS alumni network includes C-Suite executives at GE Renewable Energy, Deere-Hiachi and Y Combinator, as well as other diverse career paths. Many LEADERS alumni mentors have helped fellows land their full-time dream jobs.

The Student Alumni Council (SAC) welcomes you to an Alumni Speaker Event with Scott Bauer ’01, at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 19, in the Cowger Board Room on the second floor of the Campus Center.

Bauer is the Research and Development Director at Stryker, a Kalamazoo-based medical technology company that offers products and services in orthopaedics, surgical, neurotechnology and spinal.

Previously, he served as research and development manager at American Showa (now Hitachi Astemo Ohio Manufacturing). Bauer began his career as a project manager at his Co-op employer, Tomco Plastic. He graduated from Kettering in 2001 with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

A boxed lunch will be provided upon the completion of this event. Seating is limited. RSVP is required and available to the first 25 students.
