Kettering alumni, Scott Haney (’18) and Jackie Wilson (’20) will give a presentation on Functional Safety from 12:20 to 1:20 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 9, in AB 1817.
Haney and Wilson both currently work at FEV, an independent international service provider of vehicle and powertrain development for hardware and software. FEV is based in Germany, but has locations around the world, including Auburn Hills.
Food will be provided at the event.

Schaeffler Group is hiring more than 25 Engineering Co-op positions. The Co-op office is hosting Schaeffler Virtual Information Session at 12:30 p.m., next Wednesday, Sept. 8.
Schaeffler Group North America is responsible for the engineering production, sales and marketing for the INA, LuK, FAG and Barden brands throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. All four brands provide high-performance, precision technologies for the Automotive OEM, Industrial OEM and distribution markets, as well as the aerospace industry.

Kettering GlobalX is having a Women’s Empowerment and Leadership Workshop from 3 to 5 p.m., Oct. 21-Nov. 18.
The weekly online workshop, which is tailored to women in a variety of leadership roles, is designed to encourage self-reflection while providing the knowledge, techniques and language necessary to overcome obstacles we create for ourselves that prevent us from achieving our leadership best.
Dr. Stacee L. Reicherzer, licensed professional counselor, will be the presenter. She wrote “The Healing Otherness Handbook: Overcome the Trauma of Identity-based Bullying and Find Power in Your Difference.” Reicherzer also is the supervisor of clinical mental health counseling interns at a clinical facility at Southern New Hampshire University.

The annual Bulldog Pub Crawl and bus tour around downtown Flint will be at 5:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 17. Enjoy delicious appetizers and brews at local establishments. All alumni, students, faculty and staff are welcome.
Your ticket guarantees your spot on the bus, transportation to each stop on the tour, light refreshments and a commemorative pint glass. The ticket price does not include drinks.
Tickets are $10 for students and $20 for alumni, faculty and staff. Meet in the Great Court of the Campus Center at 5:30 p.m. The bus leaves at 6 p.m.

The SAGE Club is hosting a Battle of the Bins recycling contest from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 15 in the main entrance of the Campus Center.
The event is to raise awareness for recycling on campus. The students who collect and bring in the most recyclable materials can win up to $100 in gift cards.
