The NVHEM Lab focuses on research related to analytical and experimental topics in structural systems. The main goal of the NVHEM is to develop, apply, and improve measurement techniques to better understand these systems. We use conventional measurement systems such as strain-gages and accelerometers as well as state of the art technologies such as digital image correlation.
Research topics include NVH, FEA, modal analysis, sound and acoustic analysis, and structural health monitoring. The lab is used by faculty and both graduate and undergraduate level students in various engineering degree programs to assist them in their cutting edge research.
