How To Get To Campus

Approaching Flint from I-69 West

  • Exit I-69 onto Hammerberg Road (exit 135).
  • Turn right (North) onto Hammerberg Road.
  • Turn right (East) onto Miller Road.
  • Continue straight (North) when Miller Road turns into Fox Street.
  • Continue straight (North) when Fox Street turns into Chevrolet Avenue.
  • Turn left (West) into Kettering University’s Campus Center driveway. This is the last driveway on the left before the University Avenue traffic light. Please park then go inside the Campus Center and sign in with Campus Safety.

Approaching Flint from I-69 East

  • Exit I-69 onto Hammerberg Road (exit 135).

  • From South: Merge from I-75/US-23 onto I-69 East using exit 117A toward Port Huron.
  • From North:  Merge from I-75/US-23 onto I-69 East using exit 117A-B toward Port Huron. Keep left at the fork continuing toward Port Huron.
  • Exit I-69 East onto Hammerberg Road (exit 135).
  • Turn left (North) onto Hammerberg Road.
  • Turn right (East) onto Miller Road.
  • Continue straight (North) when Miller Road turns into Fox Street.
  • Continue straight (North) when Fox Street turns into Chevrolet Avenue.

Parking

Free parking is available for meeting participants both Friday and Saturday in Parking Lot #3, behind the C.S. Mott Engineering and Science Center (Building 5 on the campus map) and the Frances Thompson Wilson Residence Hall (Building 3 on the campus map). No parking permit is required. The historic academic building is a short 3 to 5 minute walk from this parking lot. Follow the stairs between building 3 and building 4 and the historic academic building will be in your sight.

Meeting Venue

All meeting activities will take place in the Historic Academic Building of Kettering University (Building 2 on the campus map). This is a rather large foot print building with multiple entrances. Please use the main entrance to the building – which is also the closest to the location of the meeting rooms – at the corner of University Avenue and Chevrolet Avenue, diagonally across from Einstein Brothers Bagels. Take the stairs up and follow the signs to reach the Meeting Registration Desk in the Study Lounge (Room 3342) of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) to pick up your meeting badge and program.

Flint Institute of Art (FIA) Banquet Dinner

The Flint Institute of Art is a short 10-minute drive from Kettering University.  From Kettering University take University Avenue past Children’s Museum, to Saginaw Street. Make a left on Saginaw Street, then turn right on East 5th Avenue at the first stoplight. 5th A

venue becomes Robert T. Longway Blvd. after passing over I-475. From Longway Blvd. turn right on Walnut Street, then right on East Kearsley Street.

Wi-Fi Connection

Kettering University has two Wi-Fi networks: a password-protected network (KUW) and an open (password free) network, KUGUEST. You will use KUGUEST for your Wi-Fi connection.
